In that last picture, the brownish estate, it looks so much like an Astra wagon, in the same brownish hue.

Maybe the previou s gen,

But not the current one.

The estates are all looking quite similar.

The rear lights remind me of the Skoda Scala

Which both remind me of the Ford focus.

I rented a Tipo wagon estate in Germany. 1.4, 95bhp as I recall. Pretty much the cheapest spec. I was expecting/hoping for something a bit more substantial, like a VW or Seat, so I was pretty disappointed. Transmission was not in a good way, it was very hard to shift into 6th without grinding. Driving flat-out on the autobahn with 4 people and luggage was an experience though , it topped out at about 100mph.

Not a bad-looking car but definitely not Focus/Golf/Astra tier by any means

I can’t recall seeing a single one on the roads where I live.

The old Tipo was a good and solid car. Heavy, but had some get up and go to them.

These Tipos are so easy to forget and so many have. The cars you pointed out, the Focus, Astra, Golf, etc... have stood the test of time and would take a lot to draw peoples eyes and wallets away from them.
